   Collects domestic and global information regarding business ethics
    Disseminates information among member companies and affiliated organizations.

(2) Survey
    Conducts periodic surveys on business ethics
    - Inquiring awareness of business ethics
    - Inquiring awareness of legal requirements
    Announces survey results publicly
    Uses survey information on other activities of the institute

(3) Ethics system
    Undergoes research and development of ethics system suitable for domestic      enterprises
    Will expand into the functional areas
    - Financial management
    - Multinationals
    - Environment issues

2. Consulting Service  

    Provides consulting services to domestic enterprises based on expertise      acquired through research and development
    At the early stage,
    - Introduces appropriate business ethics programs to domestic enterprises
    - Assists domestic enterprises in construction of internal ethics system
    Provides consulting service to bring in the best practices in business ethics      for domestic enterprises


3. Education  

    Offers extensive education programs to business community in Korea
    Focuses on introduction of
    - Advanced ethics system
    - The best ethical practices at leading multinationals and foreign governments
    Will expand into more industry-specific programs
    Arranges overseas programs to offer hands-on experience of the highest
     ethical standard.
    - Participants will visit leading multinationals and experience their most       advanced ethics practices

4. Certification

(1) International Certification
   Offers international certifications
    - SA8000 or ISO14000
    - Acts as a certification body
    - Expects local enterprises to improve ethical standards by preparing
      for the certifications

(2) Internally-developed Certification
   "Clean company"
    - Will be developed in next 2 to 3 years
    - Will be awarded to domestic enterprises based on their level of ethical       standard, internal ethics system, amongst others

5. Promotion

    Important for raising issues of business ethics in society
    Will spend most of institute's resources on raising awareness of business
     ethics
    Will periodically host various ethics-related seminars and events

6. International Networking   

    Exchange information and jointly promote business ethics
    Will promote close relationship with well-established international      organizations
